Curtis Jackson is a dedicated labour activist and AUPE Vice-President representing Alberta’s South Region. With decades of experience in union advocacy, organizing, and member engagement, Curtis is known for his strong commitment to solidarity, workers’ rights, and grassroots activism. He has served on AUPE’s Provincial Executive, chaired the Anti-Privatization and Young Activists Committees, and continues to support members through collective action, education, and community involvement across Alberta.
Atul Verma serves as Chair of the Calgary Area Council, where he is dedicated to advocating for union members throughout the Calgary and surrounding area. With a strong commitment to member engagement, workplace equity, and community collaboration, Atul brings a people-centered approach to leadership and representation. His passion for building relationships and empowering members continues to drive his work within the union and the communities it serves.
Kimberly Jn Paul serves as Vice Chair for the Calgary Area Council and is committed to supporting strong communication, member engagement, and organized leadership within AUPE. Known for her collaborative approach and dedication to union values, Kimberly helps ensure members stay informed and connected while contributing to initiatives that strengthen solidarity and advocacy across the Calgary region.
Tessa Quinn serves as Treasurer for the Calgary Area Council and is an active AUPE member with Local 095 in Calgary. Passionate about fairness, member advocacy, and community involvement, Tessa contributes to strengthening union engagement and supporting initiatives that promote equity and inclusion within the workplace. She has also served on AUPE’s Pay and Social Equity Committee, helping advance conversations around fair compensation and workplace equality for members across Alberta.
Jennifer Gutierrez is an active AUPE member with Local 095 and a dedicated advocate for protecting strong public services and supporting union solidarity. Through her involvement with AUPE’s Anti-Privatization Committee, Jenn has worked alongside members from across Alberta to raise awareness about the impacts of privatization on workers and communities. She is passionate about member engagement, education, and strengthening connections between locals to build a stronger voice for working people.
